The luxury begins as soon as you touch down. Arrive in style as you are whisked straight off to a five-star hotel right in the heart of the city. You will have 2 days here to rest and recover from your flight, and catch up on your jet lag, with full use of the 5-star amenities to assure you are refreshed and energised when you begin your trek.
Throughout these 2 days, you also have the opportunity to explore some of the world’s most beautiful and historic sights – including Boundanth, Pashupatinath, and both Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square. As you take in the sights, guided by one of our experts, enjoy some of the city’s most sumptuous food and get ready for its best entertainment in the evenings.
Once your 5 star city stay is complete, we get ready for our trek by embarking on a short flight to Lukla. Famed as being on the most beautiful flights in the world, marvel at the mountain peaks that welcome you to the gateway of the Everest Region.
We will then begin by trekking to Namche Bazar – where we will have time to explore and enjoy the culture of the region. We will then move on through Pangboche, Dingbouch, Chhukung, and Lobuche, before trekking our way up to Kalapatthar and completing our journey in Lukla, where we take our flight back to the Capital.
Throughout your 2 week trek, you will scale of the world’s most impressive mountains, and take in views of Mount Kalapatthar, Lhotse, Nutpse, Amadablam, Thamsherku, and of course the Mighty Eververst, as the Himalayas become your companions and stunning scenery throughout your journey. However it is not only mountains that you can expect to see. This deluxe trek also takes in glaciers, chortens, lakes, woods filled with oak, pine, and rhododendrons, as well as flora and fauna that can be found nowhere else in the world.
This Luxury Everest trek will also take you on a spiritual and cultural journey. You will have the chance to meet the local people and hear of the wildly varying traditions that occur throughout the distance that we cover. You can try authentic village food and see Nepali architecture, as well as being able to visit monasteries and temples; tucked away on mountain tops and guarded with multicoloured prayer flags – they are a sight to behold.
At times the trek can get tough, so we recommend a good level of fitness, however throughout your adventure, Hike to Eveest will always accommodate you in the most luxurious accommodation available. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by a friendly member of our team who will whisk you away from the stress of the airport and straight into an air-conditioned car to be driven to your 5-star hotel. On arrival, feel free to enjoy your day here in the capital and begin to explore, or take a luxury snooze and recover from your flight. Dinner and overnight stay at a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu (The Hyatt or similar).
Day 02 – Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley with trek preparation
After a welcoming breakfast, today you will have the opportunity to see some of Kathmandu’s most famous UNESCO-listed world heritage sights, including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath. Once you return you will meet your guide and begin preparation for your trek and enjoy a sumptuous 5-star dinner. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and overnight stay at a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu (The Hyatt or similar).
Day 3: Fly to Lukla and trek to Manjo
On day 3 we will fly to Lukla and marvel at the snow-capped mountains that dominate the view on our 40-minute journey. Upon arrival, we can explore and enjoy our first insight into local Nepali life before setting off towards the Dudh Kosi River, where we join the main trekking trail. This will take us through the beautiful villages of Ghat and Phakding, before arriving in Manjo. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Everest Summit Lodge, Yeti Mountain Home, or similar).
Day 4: Manjo to Namche Bazaar
Day 4 sees us following steep inclines uphill until we cross high suspension bridges and head towards Namche Bazaar. On our way, we will pass through Sagamartha National Park, and enjoy the spectacular surroundings as we climb higher and higher and begin to observe some sensational views. On arrival, we can relax and explore one of the most well-known settlements and biggest villages in the region, Namche Bazaar: The Gateway to Everest. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Yeti Mountain Home, Hotel Namche, or similar)
Day 5: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization.
Today we will spend the afternoon exploring the outskirts of Namche, as we acclimatize to the high altitude. We then hike up to the Sherpa Cultural Museum where we can learn more about the region, before continuing onto our first viewing point where we can see a full and wonderful view of Mount Everest. After exploring one more village, Khumjung, we will come back to Namche to rest for the night. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Yeti Mountain Home, Hotel Namche, or similar)
Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Pangbouche
After a day of rest, we are full of energy as we hit the trail and follow the Dudh Kosi to trek to an altitude of 3,930m. Our first stop on the journey is Tengboche, where we can visit a historic monastery, complete with ornate artwork… Depending on when we arrive, we can observe a ceremony before completing the rest of our trek. We start with a descent to Debuch before crossing one last suspension bridge to arrive at Panbouche for the night. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Everest Summit Lodge or similar)
Day 7: Pangbouche to Dingboche
Today’s trail is nice and gentle – consisting mainly of downhill trekking. Our route takes us along wider paths and through lush green forests. A short incline takes us to the Imja River where the path levels out and we can enjoy the rest of our walk on flat, paved grounds. On arrival in Dingboche can enjoy amazing views of the beautiful Ama Dablam, and explore the local Sherpa village where will stay overnight.Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Hotel Bright Star or similar)
Day 8: Dingboche Acclimatization Day
It’s time for another day of acclimatizing – but that doesn’t mean resting all day as there is still plenty to see in the surrounding areas of Imja and Chukhung Valley. Some of these sights will include stone fences, yak herds, and bushes filled with a local berry that is famously used to make traditional medicine. We will then hike back to Dingboche to spend our second night. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Hotel Bright Star or similar)
Day 9: Dingboche to Lobuche
On day 9 we begin with an uphill trek that follows alongside the rivers within the valley and leads us into open savannahs settled between epic mountains. We pass Thukla and walk upon some of the region’s steepest paths to Dughla Pass, before finally reaching Lobuche for a well-deserved rest.Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Hotel Oxygen or similar)
Day 10: Lobuche – Gorak Shep – Everest Base Camp – Gorak Shep
Today is one of the highlights of the whole trek as we reach Everest Base Camp! We begin our journey there by walking along frost-covered paths that become steep trails as we approach Gorak Shep. En route to Everest Base Camp, we pass through the Khumbu Glacier and marvel at the spectacular icefall before finally reaching base camp itself. On arrival, the view of the mighty Everest is truly surreal. Later, we wind down challenging trails as we make our way back to Gorak Shep. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Hotel Yeti or similar)
Day 11: Gorak Shep – Kala Patthar – Pangboche
We start our journey early in the morning as we hike up to Kala Patthar for a view of the Himalayas at sunrise. We continue uphill until we reach the large plateau of Kala Patthar from where we can see the widespread peaks of Pumori (7145m), Lingtren (6697m), Khumbutse (6623m), Nuptse (7861m) and Changtse (7550m) along with the mighty Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and Ama Dablam (6812m). We then head to Pangboche for the night. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Everest Summit Lodge or similar)
Day 12: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar
We first make our way back to Tengboche and its magical monastery, before trekking back to our first destination of Namche Bazaar. The trails can be difficult because of the gravel and sand that cover the paths that take you here so precision is required. On arrival make the most of the amenities available in this relatively big village, and stock up on anything you need for the final day of your trek tomorrow. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Yeti Mountain Home, Hotel Namche Guesthouse, or similar)
Day 13: Namche Bazaar – Lukla
It’s your final day! So strap on your boots and get ready for one final push as you soak in the last of the mountains that have kept you company for two weeks. We begin by retracing our trail from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. We cross suspension bridges over Dudh Koshi and travel down the familiar route to see open plains, rhododendrons, and pine forests – crossing Buddhist villages crisscrossed with prayer flags along the way. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at a high-end guesthouse (Yeti Mountain Home, or similar)
Day 14: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu
Today you will board the Lukla flight again, but this time you will have an amazing story and experience to share back home. On arrival, our experts will be on hand to offer you advice on the best night spots to celebrate your achievements – or simply take you to relax at your 5-star accommodation! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and overnight stay at a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu (The Hyatt or similar).
Day 15 – Free day in Kathmandu
Today there is no plan – but to have fun and explore! With endless shops to stock up with treats for home and sights yet to be discovered, there are lots of things to do before leaving the Capital behind tomorrow. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and overnight stay at a 5-star hotel in Kathmandu (The Hyatt or similar).
Day 16: Final Departure
Today will be the end of the trip. After breakfast and of course a photo, our team will drop you at the airport before the scheduled time of your flight. Deluxe pre-flight Breakfast.
